The Draft System
I've tweaked Nucleus' draft system to my needs so I can upload articles in a rough draft form so Sean can edit them before posting them ''live.'' This differs from Nucleus' default use of drafts where only the author can see their own drafts. I also tweaked the ''bookmarklet'' editing window so it can handle and finalize drafts.
I've tried to make the posting, uploading and editing systems as easy as possible so this project can be simple and enjoyable to manage for both Sean and myself, rather than complicated and tedious. We can manage all posts from the site's main index and file uploading and attaching is done straight from the post editing form.
Other than starting to get articles uploaded, edited and posted, I think all that's left on my objectives list is a better means of site navigation on the site's menu. Currently all organization is date based which should quickly become a problem since content will be subject oriented, not time oriented. A granular category system will probably do the trick, but keeping the menu from being bloated is also one of my goals in site design.
